In October 2006, the Castan Centre awarded four internships to Monash law students who have shown a strong and continuing interest in the area of human rights. These internships took place from November 2006 to April 2007 at Human Rights First in New York City; the Australian Delegation to the United Nations Human Rights Council, Geneva; International Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, The Hague; and International Women’s Right Action Watch, Asia Pacific, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
These four students were given the unique opportunity to experience and contribute to international human rights organisations first hand. To find out more about the organisations and the background of the Castan interns, please see the intern profiles below.
